Your Industry Partner Founded in 1969 by John Preston, The Preston Group has been servicing the construction industry with mobile cranes, modular steel scaffolding, loading platform systems and most recently, the world renowned, Superdeck Retractable Loading Platform System. Preston has been innovating and finding new solutions to construction challenges ever since. The Preston Group believes strongly in research and development. It enables us to produce products, services and processes to make building environments safer, more efficient and more reliable. In 1985 the Preston Folding Scaffold was the innovation that revolutionised the scaffolding market worldwide. Preston’s Folding Scaffold received the BHP Steel Award in 1987 and the IBM Innovator of the Year Award of 1988. The company went through a series of evolutions before developing the patented “standard” non-retractable platform in 1985. The Preston Group continued to innovate and developed the first efficient retractable platform in the early 90’s. This became the patented ‘G’ Series SuperdeckTM which has been the mainstay of our business ever since. The Preston Superdeck Retractable Loading Platform System was designed in 1997 and simplified the handling of materials on all types of construction sites from low-rise to high-rise. This revolutionary Preston innovation increased safety and reduced crane time by allowing crane operators to easily access the Superdeck from above. In 2003, Markus Preston became the owner and Managing Director of the Preston Group. He has taken the business to its next phase of product development and business growth with the help and support of the well-respected team at Preston. The company now operates Australia wide, with branches in NSW, VIC and QLD. Our Superdeck licensees are located in VIC, SA, WA and NZ.
